Impressio Dry Shake Color Hardener

1. Product Description

Impressio Dry Shake Color Hardener is a pigmented, non-metallic dry shake surface hardener containing iron oxide pigments and a special blend of modifiers. The product is designed to deliver maximum surface strength, abrasion resistance, and colour uniformity when broadcast onto freshly placed concrete. Each batch is pre-blended in a controlled manufacturing environment to maintain consistent ratios of cement, silicates, pigments, and modifiers, thereby promoting workability, controlled setting, and long-term performance reliability. The material is suitable for stamped concrete decorative applications as well as high-traffic commercial and industrial flooring where a dense, wear-resistant and colour-stable surface is required.

• Stamped Concrete (Light Duty): Decorative driveways, pathways, patios, pool surrounds and landscaping elements requiring pattern embossing with colour.
• Stamped Concrete (Medium Duty): Commercial plazas, hotel forecourts, retail walkways and public space paving.
• Industrial Flooring: Warehouses, logistics centres, manufacturing facilities, loading bays and heavy-traffic floors requiring superior abrasion resistance.
• AR Grade / Chemical Resistant Floors: Pharmaceutical plants, food processing units, chemical manufacturing floors where alkali and chemical resistance is essential.
• Colour Hardener Finishing: Interior and exterior decorative concrete surfaces requiring vibrant, long-lasting integral colour.
• Concrete Overlay & Resurfacing: Bonded overlay systems for floor renovation where slab replacement is not viable.

5. Application Method

1. Substrate Preparation: Ensure concrete slab is placed and levelled. Wait for bleed water to recede before application. Substrate must be free of laitance, oil, dust and loose material.
2. First Broadcast: Apply approximately 2/3 of the required quantity evenly over the fresh concrete surface using a broadcast spreader or by hand casting.
3. Float & Embed: Allow hardener to absorb bleed water (colour will darken). Power float or hand trowel to embed hardener uniformly into the surface matrix.
4. Second Broadcast: Apply remaining 1/3 quantity. Float again to achieve uniform colour and surface density.
5. Final Trowelling: Finish with steel trowel to the specified surface texture. For stamped concrete, apply stamps immediately after final float pass.
6. Curing: Apply approved curing compound immediately after finishing to retain moisture and achieve design strength. Protect from rain and direct sunlight for minimum 24 hours.

6. Storage & Handling

• Store in original sealed BOPP bags in a cool, dry place away from moisture.
• Shelf life: 12 months from date of manufacture in original sealed packaging.
• Keep away from direct sunlight and rain. Do not stack more than 10 bags high.
• Use appropriate PPE — dust mask, gloves and safety glasses during handling and application.
